While Mykonos may be synonymous to some with unruly British teenagers getting their rocks off abroad, to those of a more cultured palette it’s the homeland of one of Greece’s most infamous super-clubs; Cavo Paradiso. Not just a party destination, the club also has its own radio station and an annual high-profile compilation release. This year’s, entitled Definitions and available globally from 21st June, has been left in the expert remixing hands of Saw.Recording’s boss and Def Mix crewmember Satoshi Tomiie, plus Circo Loco resident and Moon Harbour’s head honcho Matthias Tanzmann.

Each season, Cavo Paradiso’s Ibiza-style open-air venue attracts the gorgeous and the glamorous from around the world like a moth to a flame due to its reputation of an eclectic vibe and its notoriety for showcasing some of house music’s most prolific talents including Carl Cox, Sasha, Sebastien Ingrosso and Loco Dice, plus household names such as David Morales who plays every August to celebrate his birthday. Add to the mix a glittering blue swimming pool centrepiece, ocean top location and glorious Mediterranean sunshine and its no surprise the club has an ever-growing international following.

But you’ll be glad to know the fun isn’t just reserved for Mykonos. Cavo Paradiso have not only bottled their unique sound in the form of their annual compilations but this year, they have also scheduled a whistle-stop tour to celebrate the Definitions release.

On this cool double CD set, Satoshi Tomiie picks up from where Argy and Luca Bacchetti left off in 2009, with a laidback blend of underground house that features Stimming, Ben Watt and Julia Biel’s super-hip Bright Star and Andre Lodemann’s trippy stripped back remix of Mes’ Back To Basics plus many more on disc one.

Passing the baton to Matthias Tanzmann, the second disc comes armed and dangerous with Tanzmann’s seamless set of everything from his own hypnotic mix of Michael Melchner’s Four To The Floor to Luca Bacchetti’s funk-filled The Endless Summer.
