After seminal Live sets at both Timewarp and Mayday in the April/May, SLAM step forward with The Tritone EP. Balancing tough Techno and jacking House, Slams Paragraph productions are rock solid dancefloor shakers.
Up first is The Tritone. In recent years Slam have pushed the darker side of Techno, and The Tritone is a fine example of this side of the Glaswegian duo. Industrial and driving in nature the track pushes forward with every beat, but balances this energy with haunting presence and restraint.
Black Gold highlights the flip of Slams productions. A grooving house bassline and swinging percussion swaggers through the track at tempo, while squelching synths drop in and out with ease.
Expect to hear these on the floor.
