More known for his output on labels such as 2nd Drop and Teal as Barkadze, Gacha is sidling back to Apollo after last appearing back in 2012, this time with a plush selection of downtempo loungers that display his proficiency for composition and instrumentation. “Atlas” and “Saysea” both feature breathless vocal contributions from Natalie Beridze, her tones entwining with plucks, hits and brushes of organic instrumentation and found sounds that melt and merge with the electronic elements to an enchanting end. There are some more energised moments such as the dub techno throwdown of “Afterglow”, but really this is an EP for drifting off to, so let the Riley-esque cycles of “Fantasy” shimmer you away to meditative bliss.
