16 years Freude am Tanzen – the label is now in the bloom of puberty! As good a reason as ever for Mathias Kaden takes a look back in the day for a selection of his favorite FAT-tracks until 2009. These are getting a refinish for the sweet 16! How sweet! Officially, beer and wine may be purchased thanks to the accompanying chaperones (who will stay past midnight) with moped license in hand. This is what freedom is like! Even if it’s only the exhaust of the next – and completely legal – ride around the city on grandpa’s Schwalbe. The 2005 pearl from Hemmann & Kaden, “Vaganza”, opens the 15 tracks with a thorough retrospective. Close behind there is the ‘peaceful’ Wighnomy-Remix-evergreen “Feeling Love”. Still the original from Gamat 3000 – year ’99 – shouldn’t be missing. Remember that one? Oh yeah. Then there is “Lighta Spuba” from professional out-of-the-box thinker Koze. Maybe “Effervescent Elephant” from Daniel Stefanik? Onur Özur, Soulphiction, Daniel Stefanik and Douglass Greed are also along for the ride. Of course, Kadebostan is stepping in with “Caracas Soul” like always a magical piece of musical longing. What? Even that’s almost seven years ago? How the time flies.
