Following last year’s more deep house-inclined excursion on Naked Naked, Mak and Pasteman return to Redlight’s Lobster Boy label for another foray into atmospheric garage pastures. “No Givin” is particularly potent, lacing tactile late night vocal samples and classic New York garage melodies over a sumptuous UKG groove. The mix is sparse, giving the track an intoxicating, late night feel. “Dirt Diggler” rocks a two-step and grime inclined rhythm, with the Leeds-based duo expertly cutting up woozy chords, pulsating sub-bass, pitched-down vocals and warped piano stabs. The mix is a little more cluttered than the sweet A, but no less atmospheric.
