[Saved Records] SAVED104 sees a regular face make a welcome return to the every-growing roster of young talent surrounding the label; the Italian-born Santos, presents his latest collective of dancefloor hits with the extremely well-rounded Cotton Clash EP.

Beginning with the rolling and percussive elements of From A Phe, Santos reminds us why he remains one of the great exports from the label, with this being his third fully-fledged solo EP on Saved. Balanced perfectly with sharp drums, and an infectious vocal throughout, From A Phe leads effortlessly onto the jackin’ grooves of the flip side. Desk 94 moves along nicely, fusing a medley of piercing hi-hats with driving synth lines and jackin’ drums to create, arguably, the most peak-time record of the package, showcasing Santos’ creativity and versatility at the same time. Inevitably we come to the last record in the package – Personal Safari – the finale of what is set to be a straight-up package of dancefloor hits from Saved and Santos. The 3rd track doesn’t let up however, and strives to keep the relentless energy up right to the bitter end – pounding snares combine with contagious hats and complex vocals to create the cherry-on-the-cake in what could well be Santos’ best release on the label thus far.
