Informa makes itself clear with their first release that label’s modus operandi is: techno. Four European acts offer the label an “Informa Experiment” each, with Ness and Deepbass looking to droning textures and gloomy soundscapes for their inspiration. Dutchman Jeroen Search’s bleeping version mirrors a soothing Jeff Mills production, while Spanish producer NX1 weaves some Deepbass bottom-end and Ness-like pads into his own pummeling remake.

Informa Experiments Volume 2 continues with the same concept as the last, 4 artists submit a bank of sounds and from these sounds each artist composes a track. A simple idea that proves very effective.

This time the contributors are Claudio PRC (Prologue), Takaaki Itoh (Wols), Ben Gibson (Chronicle) & Deepbass (Informa). Each version has come out very different but all have a beautifully analogous feel.

Deep, pulsing hypnotic techno.
