Moerbeck’s ascension to the M_REC LTD label with this Pyramid 12″ is a sign of the Code Is Law boss man’s stellar reputation on the European techno circuit. Proceedings commence in typically atmospheric fashion with the title track eight minutes of ever-escalating dancefloor drama, with the early abstract textures confidently building into a heavyweight techno track. On the flip, “Arrival Of The Stranger” betrays a certain nervous energy reminiscent of recent Population One whilst closer “Geometrix” demonstrates Moerbeck’s production craftiness, as a bubbling analogue groove subtly transforms into an outright wall shaker.
