After the release of his album “Angular” half a year ago Mathias Schaffhauser and Mo’s Ferry invite to discover the new remixes. The Frenchman Nicolas Masseyeff and Jorge Ciccioli from Argentina ensure international scope as well as musical variation. On the A side Masseyeff turns “The Best Bad Idea” more into the fluffy techhouse genre and gives the track a refreshing summer flair. The steadily driving beat in combination with an effective house chord is skillfully enlivened by improvised percussion elements. In contrast the B side plays more in the darkness. Jorge Ciccioli is staying faithful with his roots and packs the track “Schnuppe” in a minimal techno dress. The typical foundation of a rumbling subbass sound and a dry machine beat is topped with a truly hypnotising bassline. Besides the two remixes the 12″ vinyl also features the two original tracks by Mathias Schaffhauser. Technoid sound, without compromise and to some extent brutally pushing forward.
