Drawing on 25 years of DJing alongside the greatest names in house music history at NYC’s most legendary clubs, 14 years as the boss of his own label Maya, and a dis- cography that’s seen him contribute to virtu- ally every go-to label you can name, Joeski returns to Poker Flat with a trio of deep and deadly club bangers, each one fine-tuned for devastating dancefloor deployment.

“XXX Part 1” works the toms and snares to magic up the vibe of a sweaty, sexy dancefloor. Underpinned by an insistent, bouncing bass and topped with seductive female whispers, it’s an undeniably immer- sive groove.

“XXX Part 2” goes tribal, a swirling monster of a jam brimful with intricate detail and aci- dic stabs. It’s an overwhelming experience – in the best possible sense – and a fitting climax to an accomplished EP.

“Come On” revolves around an inexorable – and utterly irresistible – bass wobble. Race cars whizz and whoosh through the stereo field as a voice intoning the title is distorted, stretched and deliciously twirked.
