Just in time for this year’s summer peak, Biotop drops some Caribbean flavored beats and welcomes back two very good friends. Originally Gabriel Creole & Patrick Zigon’s „Balsam für die Sohle“ was released on Biotop’s [aLIVE] compilation and is without doubt one of the brightest moments in the label’s history.

Gabriel Creole is a true rhythm master. He likes to play rhythm guitar and performs his own special kind of beatboxing, reminding us of his African roots. Gabriel and Patrick recorded his beatbox, guitar, and vocal skills, and turned the pieces into the timeless and outstanding „Balsam für die Sohle“, which gained huge support during the last year. Also maestro Acid Pauli immediately fell in love with the track and included it in his legendary set at „Robot Heart @ Burning Man 2014“.

Now „Balsam für die Sohle“ gets a well-deserved re-release with great reworks by Acid Pauli and Plautze. Acid Pauli’s rework stays close to the original, with Pauli adding his typical hypnotic groove, trippy percussion snippets and a great synth line – just perfect for every open-air-session and deep set. Biotop’s very own Plautze creates something completely new. The acid-infected version fits perfectly on both techy & dark floors.
