As we await the release of the debut LP Columbusing from thatmanmonkz we’re pleased to give you a little taster of two of the originals plus a couple of brilliant remixes from man of the moment GE-OLOGY and Jimpster.

Kicking off the vinyl release we have a remix of Jus Anutha Wunna Deez from one of the most exciting names in house right now. GE-OLOGY has been blowing minds with his latest release on Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature label with his jazzy take on warm, analogue house currently hitting the top spot on Juno and causing major waves after early plays from Gilles Peterson and Benji B. Here he shuffles the groove, goes deep on the pads and makes great use of the vocal hooks, end result being an old school vibe with bags of soul to please all the real house heads out there. Next up is the original version of Jus Anutha Wunna Deez, a rolling Detroit influenced track with fat claps, squelching bassline and dusty rhodes chords.

Flipping over we have Jimpster’s take on Take U 2 My House where he brings his own deft touch to proceedings, jacking up the beats, adding some simple synth stabs, highlighting the vocal and bringing seven minutes of pleasure to the dancefloor in the process. Rounding off the EP is Take U 2 My House in it’s original glory, sounding like something Prince might come up with after a three day bender at Panorama Bar.
