After teaming up with Mario Da Ragnio in 2k15 for their combined single effort „Tudeles“ on Upon.You Digital Mr. Jonathan Kaspar is now back for his full-on solo release named „Rooted E.P.“, a sweet three track-piece which surely redefines deepness for the season of 2k16. The opener and title track „Rooted“ featuring Aquarius Heaven on vocal duties goes as deep as analogue, chord-driven TechHouse can go – a steamy, seductive late night piece for most intimate venues and true connaisseurs. Quite a remarkable musical statement, this! With „Clear Height“ we see the Cologne-based Jonathan Kaspar explore more Tribal-influenced territories in terms of serving a slow, percussion-led DeepHouse foundation, warm sinewave bass waves and decent melodic elements for beauteous mediterranean night outs. Finally „Thae“ is going to darker places albeit being another deep as fuck tune for those who really know. In this great tune a super tense, dangerous atmosphere and swirling bass sweeps are building up slowly, providing a feel of endless, unsettling suspense that is never fully dispersed until the next track appears in the mix. What an effort!
