New House music label Grand Plans drops its first release ‘Adventures In Self Doubt’ EP from the imprint creator British born DJ and producer Scott Diaz – featuring four original tracks from the label boss himself, which in many ways is a mission statement defining the labels music policy of releasing well-crafted records that are raw, soulful and honest.

Track one titled “Love We Had” is laid back with an uplifting groove that’s full of summer vibes. With a two-step shuffle and looped female vocals, there is a subtle UK Garage influence here, brought to life by the help of gentle keys and guitar licks.

Keeping the summer vibes flowing, the second track, entitled “1520 Sedgwick” has a mellow groove and a hip hop style vocal sample layered with trumpet flutters and textured pads. Dancefloor focused, the crisp percussion and tight rhythms provides the energy to fuel the party.

“The Difficult Third Track” has a title which alludes to the fact that it’s often the third track which is the most difficult to create when attempting to compose a trio of strong records as part of an EP, but with it’s dreamy melodies, jacking percussion and soulful vocals, we’re sure you’ll be listening to here and beyond.

Rounding off the release is “Take A Chance”, which combines rising tones and warm chords with soft chimes to create an infectious groove. Poignant and purposeful, this track has a thoughtfulness and intelligence, which although is geared for dancefloors, it succeeds in making it much more than just a club track with many hidden layers.
