It has become painfully obvious we are stuck between a giant rock and a hard place. I love my phone. I hate my phone. I put it down, I can’t leave it alone. Amidst our pathetic and self prescribed asphyxiation however, there are brief moments of egress. Moments we surface for air, and catch a glimpse of the world as we once knew it. This song was born from a similar moment. A moment in time when we peeled the future’s wiry fingers off the wheel and began driving again ourselves. Matthew Dear sketched some silly portraits and posted them. Joe Goddard replied and requested one of himself. Matthew accommodated the request and asked Joe to send him a new song to work on. Within hours, thousands of miles away, Joe wrote Love Games and sent it to Matthew. Matthew did what he could, but knew it needed one more musical heart. The triumvirate Love. Eats Everything iced the cake, and plopped a colossal heart shaped cherry on the delectable mess. Now we share our technology laden and dependent confection of love with the world.
