Almost 12 months on from his first appearance on Frits Wentink’s Bobby Donny label, Dirt Crew regular Felix Leifur returns to sell subscriptions to “The Tarleton Appreciation Club”. Given the quality of the title track – a looped, spacey, skewed and ultra-deep take on loose-limbed jazz-house – he should have quite a lot of takers. There’s plenty to get excited about across the rest of the EP, too, from the more driving and low-slung fuzziness of “Parts” and the sub-bass-propelled glitch-house swing of “Robbi”, to the Theo Parrish-meets-J Dilla flex of fabulous closer “Juledreng”, which could well be the standout of another high quality Leifur release.
