Mahfoud & Javier Orduna’s ‘Secrets’ was one of the standout cuts from last year’s Words Don’t Come Easy Pt. 5 compilation on this label, so now Get Physical offer it up alongside innovative remixes from Aero Manyelo and T.M.A.

Mahfoud & Javier Orduna hail from the Netherlands and Spain respectively, and make colourful music for the after-hours. They have done so on the likes of Visionquest, Jeudi and Exploited between them, and this track has proved one of their biggest yet. It’s a superbly slow burning and emotive deep house groove that really pulls you in with pained, melancholic vocals and pensive guitar strums.

South African star Aero Manyelo steps up off the back of big support from the likes of Dixon. With a style influenced by his father’s love of jazz, as well as the sound and colour of his Johannesburg township, he is a regular on this label. His brilliant Mix of ‘Secret’ builds patiently with the vocals and guitars before upright drums skip along to get you on your toes. It is subtly epic and uplifting but retains the tender feel of the original as well as his own unique percussive edge.

T.M.A is a German outfit previously appearing on Kindisch, Dantze and Audiomatique. Their organic drums and clever effects make this a superb remix that takes on otherworldly qualities. The vocal becomes heavenly, the wooden hits glide atop the smooth drums and withering chords add real colour.

This is a top trio of tracks that are destined to get plenty of airplay this summer.
