Belgian house duo Raw District land on Get Physical with a new EP that features special guests Aquarius Heaven and Siopis.

Vernon Bara and Massimo DaCosta first started this project in 2013, have released on Crosstown Rebels, Innervisions and Moon Harbour and run their own Homecoming Music label. They use the imprint as an outlet for deeper sounds with elements of funk and soul and standout vocal collabs and always bring freshness to the European scene with their DJ sets.

First up is ‘Love For Free’ with the always essential Aquarius Heaven bringing his unique mix of Caribbean and European influences to the vocal line. It’s the sort of laid back yet compelling house groove that really works the floor into a lather with its libidinous vocals and elastic bassline. Finished off with some summery key solos, it’s a superbly warm and emotive house track, and the dub only places more focus on those slick drums.

Raw District then link with Siopis for ‘A Beautiful Black Woman’, an eight-minute adventure into cosmic late night house, with swirling pads and spooky synths all setting the cinematic scene.

Always intriguing and keeping you on edge, it’s a second fantastic track to close out this effective EP.
