Anja created Sous to provide a new platform where she can evolve her sound and play around with new creative ideas. It’s also fast become a home for some exciting collaborations with a new wave of outstandingly talented and accomplished producers Schneider admires.
A busy period of production, Anja has already released two original EP’s this year, so for the next release she welcomes Parisian born but Detroit inspired, modular synth lover – Madben. Known for his releases on labels including Astropolis Records and Ellum, he delivers a 3-track masterpiece.
‘Landscape’ comes thundering with its kick drum and the notable searing synth. Tranquil and cerebral pad work builds alongside the bassline to create a powerful, yet dark track with atmosphere and texture throughout.
That inspiration he is known for taken from Detroit is undeniable in ‘Robots’. Powerful percussion and a rapid moving low end keep the track at pace, as synth lines twist and filter creatively in and out to make this a dancefloor winner.
Lastly, big room power at its very finest, ‘Evade’ is about as minimalistic in groove and syncopation as it gets. Channelling only the most effective elements of the track keeping it simple and mesmerising yet totally brilliant.
