Timid Boy (named after the character from Calvin and Hobbes) is the chosen moniker of Damien Almira – the French DJ, producer, journalist, party organizer, and hyperactive boss of the label Time Has Changed. With this 3 track EP for Oliver Huntemann’s Senso Sounds, he reaffirms his unwavering love for his brand of techno – slick, powerful and hugely effective.
The Force 2020 is a heads-down party starter – a thick, insistent groove built around minimal elements that results in a trippy, dark banger. Deviation ups the ante with firing percussion and snaking grooves, edging towards a more house sound before throwing in metallic synths that hit hard.
