Frédéric Blais is a Quebec-based DJ and producer who operates under the Fred Everything moniker and runs Lazy Days Recordings and Lazy Days Music. His deep house productions span labels including Defected, Drumpoet Community, and Atjazz Record Company, with 57 releases on Electrobuzz since 2012.
Chicago house vocalist Robert Owens, born Robert James Owens in 1961, formed Fingers Inc. with Larry Heard in the mid-1980s and runs Musical Directions label. His deep house and tech house productions appear on Kling Klong, Open Bar Music, and Mother Recordings, spanning vocal house to organic downtempo across 86 releases since 2010.
A great song often calls for multiple versions. After finishing the original and the BDTW mixes, I felt I still had one more version in me. So I turned on the machines and got a simple acid groove going with Robert’s vocal playing in the background and the new idea was born. I hope you enjoy these mixes as much as I enjoyed making them.
