Berlin-based Portuguese producer João Silva operates as JEPE, maintaining a prolific output since 2014 with 62 releases spanning deep house and techno. His productions appear on established labels including Moodmusic, Connaisseur Recordings, and Biotop, covering everything from melodic house to peak-time driving techno.
Jepe makes his debut on the Mexican imprint Tenampa with a timeless EP titled ‘Retreat’.
Berlin based Portugal born producer Jepe is better known for his credentials on Moodmusic, Aeon & Stripped Down Records.
Kicking things off is ‘Edge,’ a melodically driven piece that will keep you hooked throughout its disco like synth lines and rhythmic patterns.
Next is ‘Endless Summer,’ Jepe offering his characteristically sci-fi electro output, shuffling along with great smoothness keeping you locked in.
‘Lola 2000’ is a shuffling swinger with plenty of energy; sparse, yet sounding complete with a cool arp lead, perfect to set the mood.
