They say great minds think alike. It’s certainly true for this tune. And it seems to be having a moment again in 2020. You can hear the Quincy Jones version in the Vegas scene in “Queen’s Gambit” on Netflix. For us, it started as a version Mark Brickman did sampling Mel Tormé’s 1962 version. Kevin McKay then got involved as a remixer and enjoyed remixing it so much he joined forces with Mark for a full recreation of the song. We then heard from David Penn that he was working on a version too, and so, rather than have competing versions, David & KPD have delivered us this stunning remix.//
