Grooveline is a Japanese group originally known as a funk jazz band with members Masato Honma, Tetsuya Hataya, Soshi Uchida, Akira Okayama, and Kotaro Kamei. The group produces house and tech house tracks, releasing on labels including Snatch! Records, Soulfuric Trax, and REK'D since 2021.
Croatian DJ and producer Tom Bug has released seven tracks since 2019, working under aliases including Knowledge Of Bugs and Bugbrand. His output spans house, deep house, and tech house across labels including Snatch! Records, Dobar House, and Soulfuric Trax.
Snatch! welcomes back Tom Bug after his first release in 2019 this time in collaboration with Grooveline, both DJs and promoters with 20+ years of experience releasing music since 2010 individually and together.
Presenting their ‘Body Talk EP’, this EP contains 2 groovy tracks with catchy vocals, and powerful bass lines accompanied by sensual and deep atmospheres.
‘Body Talk’, as it’s the case with most collaborations, came about spontaneously on a day of fun in the studio while playing around with bass lines and vocals. Full of inspiration and happy with what they created, the duo met just days after to complete ‘You Know It’s Hot’.
‘I got a call from Riva asking for new tracks, as I previously released with Snatch!, and he couldn’t pick a better time to get in touch, so we sent him both tracks. After a few helpful inputs, the tracks were finished, and the label grabbed them! I cannot be happier to be back on Snatch! again, and I am glad that this time it’s with Grooveline.’ – Tom Bug//
