Kerri Chandler returns to his own Kaoz Theory this August with ‘Prayer’, featuring the vocals of F L Brown and in true Chandler fashion comprised of a variety of mixes on the single.

Over the past twenty releases Kaoz Theory has showcased material from the likes of Ben Rau, Satoshi Tomiie, DJ Sneak, DJ W!ld, Art Department and DJ Deep as well as of course material from the label-boss himself, Kerri Chandler. Here the latter deliver his latest single, entitled ‘Prayer’ and as the name would suggest channelling gospel house influence in varying forms.

The ‘Prayer Vocal Mix’ leads the way via funk-infused bass groove, dubbed out vocal chants, jazzy organic drums and bright keys. The ‘Media Mix’ then tips the focus over choppy bass stabs, cinematic piano lines and shuffled 909 drums. The ‘Feel Mix’ follows next, stripping things back to crunchy drums, airy chords and a snaking bass groove. The ‘Kaoz Vocal Mix’ switches focus to shuffled, crunchy percussion, gritty stab sequences and delayed vocals before the final interpretation, the ‘623 Again Vocal Mix’ shifts things into Dub Techno realms courtesy of a bumpy, driving rhythm, unfaltering stabs and robust low-end tones.//
