Bobby Masalo is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer who has released house music on Rush Hour and Local Talk since 2019. His productions span classic house styles across these two respected Dutch and Swedish imprints.
After a series of singles and an album (Sickla) Opolopo returns to Local Talk with a reworks album where he was given free choice to ‘tweak’ his personal favorites from the Local Talk vault. Over the 10 tracks Opolopo has chosen to tweak tracks from Jamie 326 & Masalo, Soulphiction (RIP), Kiko Navarro, DirtyTwo and Soul Renegades to name a few. As always with Opolopo the soul is ever-present but musically you’ll find everything from deep house, disco, jazz-ish grooves and electronic house. Together with Opolopo’s trademark sound, additional production and arrangements they are more remixes than reworks in our opinion.
