Gruuve produces tech house and minimal deep tech across labels including Glasgow Underground, SK Recordings, and MUUV since 2013. The project delivers driving grooves and stripped-back arrangements typical of the deeper end of the tech house spectrum.
Gruuve’s “Cloud” has been one of the standout deep house tracks of the last 12 months. It was released in November last year, and it has spent most of the time since in the Deep House Top 10. “Cigarette” is his latest release for us. As usual with Gruuve, the vocal is lovely; it loops perfectly around his rhythm. The beats, however, are tougher than his previous, and the bassline takes things towards Minimal territory, making this an altogether more dancefloor experience from Gruuve.//
