Oliver Schories is a German DJ and producer from Bremen, now based in Hamburg. He produces deep house, tech house and melodic techno across labels including Pracht, SOSO, Parquet Recordings and Steyoyoke since 2010.
eng||Following the success of the original back in March, we return with Oliver Huntemann and Steve Bug reimagining Oliver Schories’ ‘Devon’.
Both producers have a long and vibrant history in dance music that we barely need reminding of, so it’s safe to say their combined studio know-how has produced some serious dancefloor moments here and across the world.
Up first, fellow Hamburg native, Oliver Huntemann opts for a tougher, progressive groove adding more bite to the kicks and a powerful saw-toothed bass. Analogue energy rules here as the main motifs arrive midway as respite in the break. Dance pioneer, Steve Bug sticks closer to the original with a stripped down melodic feel. Emphasising the nuanced sounds of the original, his organic take is the perfect accompaniment to Olivers’ angry, spiky younger brother.//
