Tigerskin – Deep House Release
Tigerskin is the alias of German producer Alexander Krüger, who has released 64 tracks since 2010. His deep house and tech house productions appear on labels including Forms & Figures, Dirt Crew Recordings, and Bar 25 Music.
With his new EP, Alex Kruger aka Tigerskin continues his journey through wild, versatile and groovy Caribbean moods and beyond pure club functionality.
Pink Zebra and Melancoholic both transport proper island vibes with a wink yet are still undoubtful Tigerskin trademark productions. Hirokos Riddim is a wet-sounding homage to the Sleng Teng Riddim, a preset groove found in a certain trashy Japanese keyboard of the early 80s that accidentally lead to the invention of Dancehall Music by King Jammy and Wayne Smith in the mid 80s.
The EP closes with the majestic rock-ish 33 Travellers, a tune based on a groove of another model of japanese trash keyboards that Alex distorted and recorded through grannies old tube radio when he was a teenager. Positive vibes for y’all!
