German producer Eric Volta (real name Faris Armstrong) has released 14 tracks since 2010 across deep house and tech house. His productions appear on Mobilee Records, My Favorite Robot Records, and Rockets & Ponies, delivering driving techno and electronica under aliases including Kid Dub and Voltaeric.
German producer and DJ Timo Maas, born in Bückeburg in 1969, has been active in electronic music since the early 1990s European rave scene. His productions span tech house, driving techno, and melodic house across labels including Mobilee Records, Systematic Recordings, and Rockets & Ponies.
Nostalgia. This word describes our feeling when talking about Timo Maas, because he was the first headliner in the history of Warung Beach Club, at our opening night, in November 2002. Now, also for the first time, he is part of our catalog featuring the Azamutha EP with two original tracks and remixes by Apnoea and Frank Hellmond.
“Azamutha” and “Dos Vida Loca” – the latter in collab with Eric Volta – carry that air of mysticism that goes so well with the temple, two Progressive House tracks that grow slowly and, little by little, spread a soft and comforting vibe for the contemplation of every detail of the compositions, music construction of those who well-know what they are doing.
In charge of the remixes, Apnoea takes a denser path, putting pressure on the bass lines and making the track more hypnotic and trippy – it probably will put you in a trance. Hellmond creates a closer version of House and shows his sound identity, characterized by deeper and dubby sounds.//
