Frankey is the Berlin duo of Frank Beckers and Sandrino Tittel, who founded the Sum Over Histories label. Their melodic house and techno productions appear on Innervisions, Drumpoet Community, Mule Musiq, and Moodmusic, blending deep house grooves with tech house elements.
Finnish producer Tuomas Salmela operates as Phonogenic from Tampere, delivering deep house and tech house productions since 2009. His releases span Moodmusic, Turquoise Blue Recordings, and Better On Foot, incorporating elements of electro, indie dance, and minimal techno across 20 releases.
Sandrino is the Berlin-based duo of Sandrino Tittel and Frank Beckers, who founded the Sum Over Histories label. Their melodic house and techno productions appear on Innervisions, Moodmusic, and Drumpoet Community, spanning deep house to tech house across 29 releases since 2012.
For the 4th and final EP in the MMR25 series we present you 2 heavy weight artists who have followed our paths since years and who we comfortably can call friends.
First up is Frankey & Sandrino who needs no introduction. ‘Calypso’ brings the masters of mysterious deepness into the deep field of the dance floors with polyrhythmic sequences and a hypnotic rhythm.
Following is Tuomas Salmela aka Phonogenic who appeared on the label from early on in the late 90s. Never stopping and never unrelieved, Tuomas brings us a with ‘Utopian Lawrence’ a mesmerising slice of deep and dubby electronica, almost tranquil, yet with a bottom heavy groove which turns out to be one of his finest works.//
