Chrissy is a staple when it comes to Rave Music, Chicago House and Disco music around the globe. Once called “The living embodiment of a ‘DJ’s DJ'” by The Blessed Madonna, he hails from San Francisco, where he previously held a residency at “The Stud”, the city’s most storied queer club. Also known as a well regarded voice on dance music history, Chrissy ran the popular “My Year of Mixtapes” blog posting original genre-focused DJ mixes every week for a year. He also wrote the liner notes for Hardcore Traxx: Dance Mania Records 1986-1997 and has written about dance music history and queer history. For his first EP on Permanent Vacation, Chrissy is flexing his producer muscle into rave territory or to put it in his own words: “This EP draws inspiration from my earliest rave memories, as well as the records from Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis that opened my sense of what was possible as a lil Midwest raver in the mid-1990s.”//
