Meet the Artist Behind This Release
Aspetuck is Griff Fulton, a producer from New York's Hudson Valley who has released five records since 2021. His music spans raw techno, classic electro, and deep dubstep across labels including Lagaffe Tales, Oslated, and Konstrukt.
“Inanimate Distraction Object” is a collection of music made by Aspetuck between June 2021 & March 2022. The album is inspired by the experience of becoming a new parent – the process of coping with constant change & learning to deal with a loss of independence contrasted with the beauty of watching a baby grow & observe the world around them. These songs serve as a sort of diary for Aspetuck which has been a recurring theme throughout his time releasing music. Various field recordings of baby toys can be heard subtly throughout the album.
