Dig is a Los Angeles alternative rock group formed in 1991, featuring members Scott Hackwith, Dix Denney, Johnny Cornwell, Anthony Smedile, and Phil Friedmann. The group produces peak time driving techno and raw hypnotic techno for labels ANAOH and Illegal Alien Records, with releases spanning from 2014 to 2024.
James Ruskin is a British techno producer from Croydon who co-founded Blueprint Records in 1996 with Richard Polson. His music spans peak-time driving techno and raw hypnotic styles across Blueprint Records, Tresor Records, and Clergy.
Almost 7 years ago we started working on the ANAØH project and since then we have not stopped, we did not believe that the way to celebrate another year was another than publishing an special release. So we decided to open the door of our house and invite 2 of our great inspirations to work with us on a project full of love, respect and gratitude.
ANAØH INVITES is the new annual series, in which both Dig-It and Fixon as hosts of the label invite 2 artists to join them and release original 4 tracks on a special edition translucent 12′ vinyl.
In this first chapter, we have invited two great artists whom we respect and have a deep admiration. Their work have been a source of inspiration for all the team. They are James Ruskin and Ben Sims, fundamental base of the evolution of the British Techno sound, who have delivered 2 magnificent tracks, which represent the experienced path that they have carved for more than two decades each. These join 2 other powerful tracks from Dig-It and Fixon to give an extremely interesting joint result, pure TNT techno.
We feel honored and moved to have this first collaboration, which we hope will please everyone!
