Carlos Pineda is a DJ and musician from Matagalpa in Nicaragua. He grew up surrounded by his family’s obsession with Latin music. At 12, he discovered disco and, obsessed with the dancing rhythms, began a journey that led him to house music production and releasing with classic imprints like Nervous and Distance. His debut for us, “Get Down”, is a tough New Jersey-style house cut with looping vocals, the kind of thing we’d expect to hear Chez Damier play at 3 am in a small dark basement filled with sweaty, jacking bodies.//
