The last Diynamic EP of 2022 is „Controlled Demolition” by DJ and producer duo HIGHLITE.
Title track „Controlled Demolition” is like a night drive through a deserted downtown area, with the bright synths like street lights shining into the car in their hypnotic movement. We stop at the red light and our eyes go into a staring contest with the driver of the only other car we see, until we inconspicuously carry on.
„Forgotten Sentiment” is a peak time grower that’s adding layer upon layer from the moment of its conception in the break.
In track three titled „Breakdown”, HIGHLITE pair a mighty sub-bass with an alternating high element like a synth or the vocal to induce a rhythmic chant in your head that almost feels like a dark dance floor ritual.
And in collaboration with Israeli artist Rebrn, they create the emotional, acidy and slightly psychedelic closing track that is „Back & Forth”.//
