Luckily, we still have music Laurent Garniers COD3 QR returns in May with a stellar four-track vinyl release alongside an accompanying digital version. This digital releases features mixes of K Alexi Shelbys Flame (the original version is exclusive to the vinyl release), by Laurent Garnier and the man himself, plus tracks by French wizard Marc Bedikian and one of COD3 QRs star players, Squal G. K Alexi Shelby is a prominent figure in electronic music and with a career spanning decades, hes established a significant influence on House and Techno. Throughout his career hes worked with many well-known artists and remixed tracks that are now key pieces. The cultivation of his massive musical catalogue has overflowed into albums and the three labels he heads. Its also led to legendary collaborations with artists such as The Pet Shop Boys, Robert Owens, Kenny Dixon, Roy Davis Jr., Maurice Joshua, Terry Hunter, Joe Smooth, Steve Silke Hurley, Tyree Cooper, Ron Trent, Glenn Underground, Larry Heard, DJ Pierre, Carl Craig, Felix da Housecat, Marshall Jefferson, Will Smith and countless others. Already respected around the world as a true underground House legend, it will be cemented further on listening to his deep and sexy track Flame. Presented here are Laurent Garniers stunning edit to open the EP, while Alexis Klassik Deep version closes it out. A geek at heart with a passion for music, Marc has forged his sound universe over the decades. He grew up listening to the melodies of Prince, before being drawn into the Hip-Hop culture of the 90s. At the dawn of the 2000s, he plunged into the bubbling world of electronic music, a revelation that marked a decisive turning point in his career. From Detroit Techno to Richie Hawtins experimentation, Josh Winks raw energy, Gary Becks power, James Holdens finesse and Laurent Garniers eclecticism, his influences are many and shape his musical identity. With Qui Peut Le Plus, he pays homage to these influences, blending hypnotic rhythms, deep textures and characteristic rises in tension. His approach both in the studio and behind the decks is a perpetual quest: to thrill, surprise and convey the raw emotion of electronic music. Producer and manager of Slates Records, Squal G is a French artist who has been passionate about electronic music since the 90s. Initially he practised his art as a DJ, but a few years later finally turned to machines and computers. This enabled him to progress with his production and remixes. He never tries to stick to a single style, which, depending on his inspiration, can lead him to be more or less hard, while remaining in the spirit of techno. To accompany his track, Parallel Sound on the vinyl is the retro metallic and driving Techno of Life Reaction on the digital.
