LUM lands on the Maison DEtre label with the super new Golden Daughters in the Golden Cave EP featuring one original and remixes Erin Ohm Hourani and Anthony Middleton. Golden Daughters in the Golden Cave is a deeply atmospheric minimal sound with dubby drums and a ritualistic edge. Freaky voices pan about the mix next to the sound of children playing as gentle congas pepper the mix and swirling pads warp space and time. Ohm Hourani remixes and is a Montreal-based artist who embraces the relationship between technology, electronic music and jazz with his innovative studio work. He pairs things back to a lolloping, loopy, slow burning soundscape with sci-fi effects adding the otherworldly eeriness as the deep bass keeps on pulling you back in. Last of all, label boss Anthony Middleton aka half of Audiofly and a long time house innovator steps up and brings a smattering of organic percussion and late night tribal energy to his deep rolling broken beats. Its a shady and absorbing sound rich in great design and detail. Golden Daughters in the Golden Cave EP is another avant-guard release for discerning heads.
