Void+1 Industries is not predicting the future. They already did that. Theyre now building the broadcast-towers for after the blackout. This is an EP with no clear evolutionary lineage. Void+1 have put their marker on it, sure, V+1022D. Sounds official, like a sealed file in a cabinet somewhere off-grid. But heres the problem; theres no cabinet for it. Its DNA has been spliced too many times to count: techno wired to breakbeats synapses, low-end pressure that recalls bass music shot through electros cold, sharp edges. It sounds like the future envisioned through a cracked kaleidoscope. It doesnt fit anything (yet), but it occupies everything. The word is that the chief scientist had to summon assistance from beyond to tame the subharmonic tectonics shaped by the pressure and conflict of these tracks in order to make them safe for consumption. Liza Aikin & Monolog are not only presenting you with their most cutting-edge creations yet… There is a message here. Are you ready to decipher it?
