Fhase 87 aka Francois Denecker opens his account on Ben Sims Symbolism imprint with the strident five-track Minimalism EP. Paying homage to the classic Techno-minimalism of Robert Hood, Calais-based Fhase 87 has constructed each track on Minimalism with layering in mind, stating that I wanted to return to the origins of my influences, the spirit of the 90s. High BPM Techno, like the DJ sets that I managed to get hold of on audio tape during my adolescence, before the internet era, No Build Up tracks, ideal for mixing with several decks.
