Kevin McKay might be best known for his cover versions and remixes. He has taken on some big songs (Work, Gimme Gimme) and delivered bona fide dancefloor weapons to the hands of thousands of DJs and millions of music fans. Nostalgia is so big these days that these huge songs often overshadow his original work. Over the last couple of years, he has been returning to his roots as an original, deep house artist, bringing the creativity and energy that made his 90s releases as Muzique Tropique, Sixteen Souls, or Studio Blue so beloved back in the day. To celebrate this, we are releasing a collection of his favourites, titled, quite simply, Some Originals (Volume One). To add a unique flavor, he has delivered a brand-new single, Deep Trouble, and an update on his collaboration with Mallin and Nyla.
