D-Nox returns with a solo release – My Life EP D-Nox needs little introduction. His extensive back catalogue details a life in dance music from soundtracking festivals, clubs and events in far-flung arenas of sound to producing anthemic hits for seminal labels like Vapour, Balance Music and Bedrock. Bringing all that experience to bear on his latest double-header, we begin with Inner Peace, a detailed exploration of his deeper side. Opening with a jangling, percussive beat, bouncy arps, ad hoc vocals and a playful reese bass create a contemplative whole. Diving deeper into the transcendence, the track takes on a meditative quality perfect for those end-of-the-night, eyes closed, hands in the air sonic ephanies. On the flipside, Your Love takes on a darker persona. Heavier bass, more insistent percussion, and soaring melodics, this is squarely aimed at the pre-peak floor and utter sonic destruction.
