Asymmetric main man Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a diverse five track EP Radical Trust. Opening the EP is Chrysalism, driven by solid 909 kicks and toms, sprinkled with hats and layered with delicate melody and an occasional bass emphasis. Second track Kenetic brings pure minimalist techno joy with its undulating organ pulses before Pitter-Patter with its curious combination of dystopian and hopeful textures. Title track Radical Trust is up next and sees Kennedy firing off in a Drum & Bass direction, showcasing a beautiful juxtaposition in sound design so typical of Asymmetric, heaviness, glitchiness and optimism. Closing the release, the tempo slows with Into Thin Air, a steady walking bass joined by playful notes and deft percussion.
