Volverá a Brillar is the debut statement from Stroc, a bright new talent on Spains techno scene, forged in the late-night heat of Club Gordo and now holding court at Spook alongside Finalversion3. Across four tracks, he guides us through diverse sonic realms, united by a singular appetite for pushing the dancefloor into fresh, unexpected territory. Distant Volume opens proceedings with a mesmerising build-up: layers of undulating basslines and meticulous percussion coils stretch the heartbeat until a crystalline surge of harmonics erupts. Its an invitation to explore Strocs world, where every frequency sketches new horizons. With Dune, the EP traverses into vast, arid expanses: sober, insistently grooving rhythms underpin sand-blasted textures and looping synth motifs that ebb and flow like wind-sculpted dunes. This is minimalist power at its most gripping, rooted in technos heritage yet firmly focused on tomorrow.
