Blue Ghost is the latest album from Paris-based artist Georges Daou; a work of ambient/electronic music that drifts through memory, imagination, and the fragile space between them. Conceived as a soundtrack to a story suspended between recollection and fiction, Blue Ghost moves through echoes of laughter, flickers of the sea, and the warmth of a sun that feels both distant and present. Some moments are true, others imagined, but all are rooted in the sensation of a summer that lingers like salt in the air: a meditation on nostalgia, impermanence, and the quiet acceptance of what remains. Produced and mixed by Daou in Paris and mastered by Taylor Deupree at 12k in New York, the album builds on Daous long-standing experiments with tape loops, synths, guitar, and field recordings. Its textures evoke the elegiac atmospheres of The Caretaker or William Basinski, yet maintain a voice distinctly Daous own: immersive, intimate, and quietly transformative.
