Shahrokh Dini presents highlights of his longterm production history, edited to fit into contemporary DJ sets. There will be released a string of digital singles in late 2025 and early 2026 reflecting his multifaceted production skills, including remixes by Delano Smith, VBoo Williams, Franck Roger and Roberto Rodriguez. Owl Flight is a classic deep house gem, combining minimalist elements with warm, flowing, hypnotic beats. The production is carefully crafted: the transitions, effects, and sound design create a kind of floating or flying sensation – fitting for the title Owl Flight. Resident Advisor described the track as a smooth-as-silk roller. Stylistically, Black Bird moves in the realm of minimal house and minimal techno aesthetics, with clear references to the style of the 1990s, but interpreted in a modern way. The track works with reduced but effective rhythmic elements; the atmosphere is created by subtle textures, repetitive motifs, and targeted tonal accents. The sound is dominated by a darker, introspective mood (Black Bird suggests something floating, perhaps mystical or melancholic), supported by sparingly used pads or atmospheric surfaces that lend the piece depth. About Shahrokh Dini Shahrokh Dini left Karlsruhe, while he is even more active than ever in his old and new basecamp Berlin. Not even that he played a lot of nice gigs during summer (Amsterdam, few times on Ibiza, lot of gigs in Berlin, Italy, Corfu, Sardinia, Istanbul), he is also busy in the studio with several releases and remixes. Shahrokh Dini has a long lasting release history, among them a lot on Compost, also under his moniker Shahrokh Sound Of K. Check both his discographies on Discogs. Shahrokh Dini – formerly known as Shahrokh Sound of K – has made himself known as a DJ since the early 90s. His DJ sets move with the class of an experienced performer seamlessly House but a travel to Chicago, Detroit and back to modern-day vibes, as a whole always reminiscent of soulful and deep roots but with refreshingly contemporary facets. He likened to a chameleon by fellow musical peer! Shahrokh Dinis productions and DJ live sets are made of the right stern to snowball dance floors worldwide and fill them with epic moments. He regularly plays every summer various Ibiza venues and also has Berlin residencies. His releases on various labels like Sasses Moodmusic, Miss Moneypenny Records, Strictly Rhythm, Ministry Of Sound, Caus-N-Effect, and of course on Compost Black Label, were supported by Ron Trent, Jimpster, Dimitri From Paris, Rainer Trueby, Laurent Garnier, Boo Williams, Glenn Underground, Solomun, Frankey & Sandrino, Agoria, Maceo Plex, Steve Bug etc.. He did remixes for Automat, Mateo & Matos, Robert Owens, Marbert Rocel, Bar, Simon Flower, Vanessa Daou, Tomasz Guiddo, Niki Harris (Madonnas background singer), Gloria Gaynor and others. Shahrokh further worked with international talents such as Robert Owens, Tikiman (Basic Channel-London), Barbara Tucker, Nathan McLau und Jaime Lloyd from the label Future Classic. For his album Dripping Point, he got great and massive commendation in magazines like De:Bug, Groove, Raveline, XLR8R, DJMag a.o. By the way, Shahrokh Dini is not only a house producer and DJ, he was running clubs since the mid 90ies, he frequently promotes bigger club-music events, he had various DJ residencies, and was running his own clubs called „Monk ans Mood Lounge in Karlsruhe before. Now hes based in Berlin and is about to start new projects like Cactus Kollektive. In the past he engaged artists such as Metro Area, Kevin Saunderson and Âme for various events for the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe ZKM, the latter proving his nose for talent as he had sourced them as residents at Electric Mood already in their early years. Adding to that Shahrokh now curates and runs the after party of the massive art fair Art Karlsruhe in collaboration with the State Theater once a year.
