Part of the larger collaboration between Soul Clap Records and Californias modern funk homebase, MoFunk Records, Brand New brings together the team of Moniquea and XL Middleton with Soul Clap. This inspirational anthem led by Moniquea is all about exploring the endless possibilities of your dreams. The bright gospel house piano chords provided by XL will fill the dancefloor with positive light while Soul Claps classic EFUNK sound will keep dancers bouncing along to Brand New. The coda is a showcase for XL Middletons synth solo wizardry – he gives Bernie Worrell, George Duke, and Herbie Hancock with his keyboard strokes.
