After appearances on Soma, MORD, RSPX and more in the past few years, Mexicos Fixon drops his first Hardgroove Records EP, UFO Wrangler. Taking in four tracks of tightly wound, swing-heavy Techno, the UFO Wrangler EP displays the technical and musical nous that Fixon has built up in his twenty-five-year-plus career. Title-track UFO Wrangler kicks o the EP with clipped vocal samples playing o a fluttering melody, creating a rhythmic lock atop the tracks already heavy groove. Damp Palms doubles down on the musicality, with another earworm lead balancing the percussive cut beneath, while Scented Words ramps up the tension with a claustrophobic, truncated synth ri. Closing out, Instructions utilises a staccato string stab that gives an aggressive but musical energy to a 909 tom-driven peak time destroyer.

Fixon Moheno is a Mexican techno producer and DJ who owns the ANAOH label and has maintained a 25-year career in the underground scene. His productions span peak time and raw techno alongside afro house, releasing on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Illegal Alien Records, and True Type Tracks since 2015.
