Full text: Nadia Struiwigh introduces her upcoming fifth studio album, IKIGAI, with a new single, Kokoro. Released on her own Distorted Waves imprint, the track previews the visceral textures and understated rhythms that define IKIGAI, a vulnerable creative document of the period following the passing of Struiwighs father. Already a prolific figure in the parallel worlds of ambient and club music, Kokoro finds the Berlin-based, Rotterdam-roots artist bridging both; its heavy, half-step arrangement unfolds with a touch of psychedelia, moving towards something approaching catharsis.
