Italian mainstay Nicolo Simonelli debuts on Junior Jacks ever-growing Adesso Music on November 7 with Sukano – a rich and emotive Afro house journey that reflects his evolving sonic palette. Across a storied 15+ year career, Simonelli has explored all corners of house and techno, weaving in elements of melodic, indie, and tech sounds. His catalog includes releases on some of the scenes most vital labels, such as Carl Coxs Intec Digital, Nicole Moudabers MOOD, Oliver Huntemanns Senso Sounds, and Kevin Saundersons KMS Records. In 2020, he teamed up with close friend and frequent collaborator OniWax to launch the Reenboog imprint – a creative outlet pushing deeper into the realms of Afro house and organic rhythms, as showcased here on his Adesso Music debut. Sukano sees Simonelli further refining that direction. Glowing piano chords and pulsating bass flicker like fading embers amongst rolling organic percussion, while smoky, emotive vocals evoke a sense of late-night introspection and raw vulnerability.
